“What is the greatest thing you ever remember that I did for you?”
My youngest sister once texted me that question. She was quite surprised when I replied” you always make me a mug of coffee during my College days, upon getting home from school and anytime whenever I ask you to make one for me…mug after mug after mug”. She was surprised because she never realized that it was such a great thing for me.
Why not? I used to be a big time coffee drinker…I guess that time I drank more coffee than I drink water. And now that I am advocating a healthier lifestyle….and as I walk my talk, quitting from coffee is such a big deal for me. But it’s so much better now…from 6 to 8 mugs a day…now down to one to two cups a day…and sometimes I can even skip a day without it and just have an herbal tea or a green tea instead.
It is such my vice that has become an anchor to bonding with loved ones. Especially with my other half.
One of the nicest moments with him is having a cup of coffee after our dinner. That is something I really enjoy and It has been always my wish that my husband will keep his promise that he won’t change for being sweet…( I guess that’s every woman’s wish). Well, wishes are bound to happen. He (maybe unconsciously) proved it again . Just the other night he gave me a sweet surprise ….he refused to have a coffee at home after dinner, instead he drove me to a place a couple of town next to ours, ( we unusually do this because I always feel the importance of a night with my kids when I am not at work) ….and going out after dinner made our senses wait for 30 minutes before we could have our coffee. But when we get to the place, there I saw a new nice and cozy coffee shop!…… and there……..that night, we spend our post-dinner coffee bonding moment.
What else can I say…it was just simple but such a wonderful night !…..i feel so blessed again for having him in my life.
Every moment, there is a blessing.
Do you still remember that cup of coffee from someone, given and served to you with love and care?
Feel the blessings in any ways, there’s more…. than just a cup of coffee.(~_~)
Heaven bless your day!
